Another day, another Dolce and Gabbana

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

So finals are coming up. This is the big one, since you know, I'm supposed to graduate and all. But seeing as I'm super-struggling with life right now, that might not happen. Hence the lack of posting the last couple days.

But hey! We must take pleasure in the small things, like this scandelous D&G advertisement. Well, to be honest, compared to many, this particular ad is quite tame. But I like the naked french lady surrounded by sexy romantic men.

Anyhoo.

Now, I have to focus on not surging a hole into my final project for my design class. Because thats a pretty major set back. Especially since it's due at 2pm.

Folly.

Oh, Karl.

I found this photo by Karl Lagerfeld and was swept away to a fantasy land where fashion is life, life is art, and art is expression.

I can't wait to leave this place...

Happy Earth Day!

"Thank God men cannot fly, and lay waste the sky as well as the earth." ~Henry David Thoreau

I figured since it was Earth Day, I should post something about being green! For those of you who are interested in crafty things, such as knitting and crocheting, I would like to make a recommendation. Caron's Simply Soft Eco Yarn is made from 20% recycled plastic bottles and so far has kept almost 2 million plastic bottles out of our landfills.

I have used this yarn myself in an attempt to make a scarf... I never finished, BUT don't let my procrastination stop you... I highly recommend this yarn! It's very soft, and it contributes to creating a greener earth. That, and it comes in some amazing colors! You can buy it at Walmart, or any craft store.

Do it. =]

Bubble Gum

Just kidding. =]

I stumbled across the 2010 Spring Collections for Bergdorf Goodman, and was truly inspired by the photographs. I wanted to share a few of my favorites here.

First, we have a few more dramatic photos. I really love how they took the organic elements of the garments themselves and paired them with natural surroundings that reflect the shapes and prints of the dresses.

I also wanted to share these two handbag shots, because I love their quirky personality.

The little rabbit makes me really happy! Haha.

Well, I wish I could post every picture from the shoot, but alas... that would be overwhelming.

I HEART NEW YORK!!!

I haven't updated in a while, but I have to write a post about my amazing experience in New York Cityy!!! It pretty much went like this. I found out I had an interview for Thursday on Monday, scheduled two more interviews for Thursday and Friday, booked train tickets Tuesday, and hauled a$$ to New York Wednesday! Unfortunately I had to come back on Saturday. Sad... =[

So, I now have an internship! I won't tell you who its with until the final decision has been made... tee hee! ;D

So I've started a tradition that everytime I go to New York, I buy something from H&M (which has only happened twice, but hey, traditions have to start somewhere). This time I splurged a whopping $13 on a striped T-shirt dress!

Here are some pics. Enjoy!

This is me in Central Park! In a tree! And if you're paying attention, you'll notice that I'm wearing my white vintage boots. =]

(p.s.- I'm also wearing my boyfriend's hoodie and jeans. It was cold, hahaha)

Central Park was beautiful...

And last but not least, I would like to give a shout-out to my awesome friend Jaylynne, who spent Friday exploring Manhattan with me!!

Oh, what debauchery shall thus proceed...

So the day was spent popping up around SoHo, Little Italy, Chinatown, East Village, Central Park, and Times Square! It's a beautiful (in its own special way) and amazing city. I intend to move there promptly after Graduation... I can't wait! I'll possibly be a Brooklyn Babe... ;D

Anyways. The city is truly inspiring, for the people, the places, and simply the fact that you'll see just about anything and it not be out of the ordinary.

It will soon be my home <3

Internships... GAHH!

So, I just applied to some more internships. I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose my mind very soon...

But good news! I received an email from one of the Marc Jacobs internships I applied to!
I'm hoping this means they reviewed my resume and portfolio!

In the meantime, I also applied to Cynthia Steffe, and upon browsing a few pieces of her line, I came across the 'Sam' ruffled dress, which I really like.

I really like the combination of the watercolor print and the unusual ruffles. It's definitely a strong spring piece. And perfect for pale people like me!

Well, thats all for today. I might indulge in a spontaneous photo shoot, in which I will post pictures ASAP!

Peace. Love. Inspiration.

I wish I may

On a side note, congratulations to me for applying to Marc Jacobs Internship program!

But this post is more about something I want.
And I want Betsey Johnson.

These are a few new items in the Betsey Johnson accessory line. I fell in love with these earrings because of their simplicity and elegance, and they represent Betsey's fun attitude. I miss wearing funky earrings, and I know if I had these, I would wear them all the time! I especially love the mismatched bow earrings. Being assymetrical is fun! And it gives you a new edge, one that makes people do a double take when they see these adorable bows dangling from your ears...
