It's quite a stretch...

The purpose of this post is to share a lovely impulse buy!

It's my $8 flower stretch ring from Payless! Random, I know, to walk into a shoe store and leave with only a ring. But, it spoke to my heart and therefore now rests on my finger.



I have lately become quite intrigued with these gawdy, sparkly rings.

I'm in love. They feel like the perfect blend between chunky, eccentric, and feminine, not too big, but definitely not small. Not to mention, chunky cocktail rings have become quite a trend this season...

Sparkle Flower Ring.

There were so many awesome rings to choose from, but I decided to stick with flowers in order to narrow it down... whew~
Forever 21 also had some super cute bow rings, and even animal rings too. Alas... perhaps I can share some more finds next time. :)

The Color Green

So the good camera might still be missing, but... I found a reasonable substitute. I figure I've procrastinated enough, and now would be an excellent opportunity for me to share the most incredible dress, purchased at Stefan's Vintage in Atlanta.

I tried to capture some of the sparkle of the bodice.

As much as I would love to have been wearing this for these pictures, unfortunately the dress was badly altered and needs to be repaired.

But, if you notice, while the dress has a unique print, there are also tiny leaves and flowers individually placed on the bodice. They don't seem to be stitched, but attached by the little jewels, which appear to be pressed on with metal prongs, which give the garment a touch of glamour. It really is an incredible dress, and once I replace the zipper and lining, I hope to wear it!

Woe...

I have lost my camera. The good one, that is.

I mean, I'm sure it isn't lost forever, but I certainly can't find it.

Which is really disappointing. Because I wanted to take pictures of the AMAZING new things I bought for my birthday weekend.

That and I need an excuse to wear my new shoes. =]

Well. I managed to acquire a crappy image of my lovely 80's dress with my phone, but methinks I was definitely not camera-ready. So enjoy my lovely edit!

Calvin Klein and other amazingness

So, before I get into the amazing vintage dresses I purchased, I must share the amazingggg Calvin Klein shoes I splurged on. (Ok, so my grandpa bought them, but hey, it was my birthday!)



I've been wanting a pair of strappy heels for a while now, I think I did pretty good! These are the black ones. Mine are actually a bronzey-purple, like the ones seen here, but the picture is tiny.



The color is so unique! I've already got black heels, it was time for something new!

So other than acquiring an excellent pair of designer shoes, I found these amazing vintage boots! Not quite Gogo boots, but still pretty excellent. I'm sure these were popular in the late 60's, early 70's. I love them, and I was super excited that I found boots in my size. They look almost exactly like these seen here.



Yay boots! The styles of boot may change from year to year, but boots will never be unfashionable. And these are a timeless pair. Success! =D
